Does it smell like fuel?
How are your driving habits? Short trips?

it does have a fuel smell. driving is about 15 minute trip to work (70mph) in morning and same home. usually at least once a week a longer trip 60 miles or pulling boat couple hundred miles round trip.

not that bad, mine seems to sit around there now. When I was getting a lot of fuel in the case mine was up passed the bend. Good luck with it.

Ok. I know mine goes up due to my short trips.

Look up the TSB thread in the other forum and go into the dealership with its number and some knowledge. Let us know what happens.

Looks and seems perfectly fine to me, depending on how many miles are on that oil of course.

I have been following the tsb thread which is why I have been checking oil lately. been taking pictures of my daily checks and it has been full for the last 2k miles. I have documented it all so hoping my dealer does not play stupid when I ask to have them look at it.

Have you taken the initiative to get an oil sample. It's pure speculation on what's happening until you actually find out if there is fuel in the oil...

i don't think there's any question that there's fuel in the oil.

there's about as much speculation in his situation as there is in solving for x in 1+x=2.

now whether or not that amount of fuel is ok or considered "normal" is up for debate.

I have not. I have only been watching it since my last oil change after reading some threads on this sit. I am going to see what dealer says.

and quite honestly- notdirected to you- but if I have to send my oil in and get it analyzed on a new truck just for my own peace of mind, I will be totally dissatisfied with my vehicle no matter what it is. if that is the case for a new vehicle then I have zero trust in that manufacturer and will 100% never drive another of their vehicles again.
