800 could be low 11s but high tens could be possible

Keepin' the lights on!
What all is involved to get one of these ecos in the 7-800 range? More fuel, air, cams, head work, bottom end?

My god that would be fun...700hp at 2000rpm. I'd go through a rear set of Michelins in one brake boost...

I know 800-900hp will put a full size diesel (crew cab short bed 4wd) with full interior and street tires in the mid to low 11s. And those weigh a 1000-1500lbs more than the half tons. If traction can be had, I see no reason we couldn't dip in to the 10s at 800hp.

Ya low low 10s with 900hp

Yeah, but these lil engines lack the massive amount of torque the diesel has to get all this weight moving initially. Down track doesnt mater, its the 60' when having heavy race weight.

Ya but they also weight 2000lbs less than a diesel. Don't get me wrong I'm a diesel fanatic and love diesels more than my ecoboost. But I think this little engine has a lot of potential. Tune for tune diesel vs Eco a Eco will win due to less weight.

True... I still think the torque to weight ratio on a hot rod diesel is still quite a bit better than what we will have with our lil V6. We'll see though.
