Default Ecoboost coils

Are the ecoboost coils the same as the 5.0 coils? The reason I ask is MSD has new coils for the 5.0.

Not sure. Never really looked at the 5.0 coils. But willing to guess no.

I'm sure if MSD knew it would work they would say something.

Numbers on ford site say no but could be the boots are different.

If MSD did make coils, I wouldn't spend your money on them if they are anything like the LS coils. Lots of money for no added improvement. Some are even a downgrade from stock.

I wish we could run LS coils. I've never had an issue with those on any GM I've owned/built. Even running a wide plug gap with boost.
