Thats my only prob with it is the $700 tag............. ridiculous.
For the handy types the best way to go is fab your own 3 or 4" stainless system using a quality muffler....... there are a few threads on this as well.......... it can be done for $400 or less.
I agree though............ stainless is an absolute must on any aftermarket system i put on my truck.

15000 on the same heartthrob on two Eco boosts. Can't say the drone is bad. It is there at a specific rpm range, but I only notice it if listening for it. It gives it a unique exhaust tone. My wife made me put it back on the new truck ASAP because, "it's so quiet it sounds like a car.". Personally I love it. I don't need stainless. Being aluminized this exhaust will likely last longer than the stock unit. I should take a picture, other than road grime it still looks pretty good and rust free. Took it off the 2011 with 10000 on it. All joints came apart without hassle.

FWIW I just called my muffler man that's did 3 exhaust (Dodge) systems for me and I told him that I wanted to put either a 4" Heartthrob or Magnaflow on my 2012 Eco Boost and he told me don't waste my time . Said he did one with and without the resonator and it still sounded like crap.Had to take it back off the dudes truck.
I have had exhuast (Magnaflows) on my last 3 trucks and love that deep tone. Can anyone out there shed some light on a good ,deep tone sounded exhaust system or is my muffler man is FOS.

Check out the link in my signature. Stainless Works has one of the best ( best sounding IMO ) setups out there for the ecoboost! Link has videos so you can hear what it sounds like. And yes, your muffler guy is correct, the ecoboost is a very hard vehicle to get a GOOD tone out of. I've had magnaflows on other vehicles before and loved em as well but v6 and turbos needs a different type of exhaust setup then you typical magnaflow, Flowmaster type kits.

Meh, mine sounds as good as Stainless Works. Lol. Saying that, I've spent plenty of money tuning my exhaust to sound the way it does. My downpipes and muffler are stainless but everything else is aluminized and it wasn't cheap. The Stainless Works system is a great deal. It'd be nice if they had an option for an added resonator.

I found about a 10 page thread on the Solo Exh and thats where Im leaning to now. This wont happen till probably March 2013. Thinking about the Airaide CAI first since it's alot cheaper and easier to explan to the wife why I must have this filter for the new truck.
