Chip/Tuner
Might be a dumb question but I'm new to this. I've never had a truck worth putting money into...need info. I have a 2011 XLT ecoboost, 6.5 bed, 3.55 gear. I love the truck so far, have 1,500 miles and I'm getting between 18 to 19 mix city/highway. Ive added exterior stuff and want to add to performance. I have the airaid intake ordered for it. Ive heard about performance chips and turners...what the big difference between them with the ecoboost? What would be good for the ecoboost? I'm looking and wanting to get some more horse power and maybe better fuel mileage. Any info for anyone would help and be much appreciated...thanks.

I'm waiting a bit for mine... I've had good experiance with HYPERTECH in the past, however it seems only Bullydog has one out for the EcoBoost so far.. Mixed reviews you can find simply from a google search.
Power is there, but mixed reviews on shift points/ gas mileage, it's your truck you make the final call, but I'll wait it out for comparison options

Yeah it seems most guys just are getting that cus it's the only tuner out there right now...well it's the only one I can find. I saw the 5 star is coming out with a custom tuner for the ecoboost. Can't find any info on it yet...I emailed them and got a generic answer of they would add me to a mailing list and let me know when info is available on it.

Before anybody flames me, I am not putting down the EB at all. Just to early in its life to have any decent Moe's released yet. They will come though and it will scoot!

Good luck on that one also. Not many out that EB owners have been happy with what I have read about anyway.
