can a tuned 5.0 keep up with a stock ecoboost?

So like the title says can a 5.0 with minimal mods like a intake, exhaust and decent tune keep up with a stock ecoboost as far as towing ability, mpg, acceleration etc in a identical configured truck? I was dead set on getting a new platinum with the ecoboost but it seems like they're near impossible to find in my neck of the woods. However i have found a couple that have the new 5.0 engine. I'm not looking for racecar performance out of a truck but i hate feeling underpowered. My last truck was a 09 GMC with the 6.2 which was a beast but the mileage was horrible.
Best of luck.

That's what some comments say but I don't think that's the case since you cant see even if you wanted too its too far away .. I've heard of 5,0 guys scorching the Eco boost

I checked out both videos that guy has. In the other with the white EB, you can clearly see the logo at the same distance.
Although in that one, he lost clearly on bad reaction time to that hemi.
So I'm pretty sure that is either another 5.0 or the 3.7.

finding a black f150 will be a little tougher than normal. We went a few weeks in the early summer not running black because a shortage of a pigment in the black paint. The dark blue looks really good in the platinums. enjoy your new f150 and thanks for buying ford.
