I'll have to pay closer attention to it the next couple days. I know what you're talking about and it doesn't seem as noticeable as it used to be or I just got used to it. I'll let you know.

I have one of the old GTechs that is shaped like a smaller radar detector with the same type red LED display. It is 10 years old. Back then you could get them for $50 or less new on ebay. I don't know much about newer ones that have a fancy display and cost 4 times as much.

Mine is accurate up to .08-.09 seconds (measuring short) compared to the track consistantly. This was measured multiple times years ago and again last year. Say if the Gtech measured 14.50 the track timeslip would be 14.58 or 14.59 consistantly.

A .01 second difference is damn consistant and less than a .1 second difference with a timeslip is pretty accurate. I don't know about the newer ones but these old Gtechs are legit.

If I measure 0-60 stock and then 0-60 with a tune that measurement will only be off by .01 seconds at the most. The time it gives me could be off from a true 0-60 (it could be 0-58 or 0-61). I have not found an accurate way to compare that yet.

The mph at the track are always 4 mph slower than what the gtech says but there is the age old controversy of the real mph at the finish line because of the way it is calculated.

I recommend 5star also. What sold me was that he used his personal 5.0 RC/SB as a test mule, perfecting the tunes and may have been the first to install the Boss IM on the F150.Now I cannot compare tuners as I have not felt the need to try others...I am good with Mike's tunes.Good luck on your choice.

I've been watching it the last couple of days. It still stays is in third and then switches to first when get near completing the stop. However if you accelerate, say the light changed to green before you stopped, it will then downshift into second gear. Like I said before, it doesn't seem as noticeable as it did when stock.

That is normal. They all do it. It was changed because shifting to second got lots of complaints from people because it would often cause a lurch.

I have 3 different tuners tune my truck and so far I have to say Mike at 5* is the best all around tune and best customer service that I have had. First I had Lund, then JLP and now 5*. With 5* I have more tunes and better all around tuning then anyone else i have been dealing with.
