Default Anyone else having ecoboost starting issues?

I have a 2011 FX4 ecoboost that randomly doesn't want to start right away. The engine cranks over quite a bit longer before finally starting. It does this about 3 to 5 times a week. Seems to be most frequent after trying to start it after it's been shut off for about 2 hours or parked overnight.

Dealer says it's normal. It doesn't seem normal to me so I called Ford Consumer Relations Dept. and worked with them. They finally gave me a formal statement saying the truck is normal and as long as it starts within 10 seconds it's normal and they will not fix it.

So I just wanted to see if anyone else has this extended crank issue or if maybe I'm the only one with a 'Normal' ecoboost.

Check out the video and let me know if your ecoboost has ever done this and if it seems to be normal.

Thanks for the help!

Mine has never cranked for that long or no where near it. Every time has been like the normal one.

I work at a ford dealership and my 2012 fx4 does seem to crank longer than it SHOULD. And I have also noticed some of our other EB trucks at work do the same.

How's the power? Could there be a loss of fuel
Pressure somewhere?

Yes, driver side valve cover. Changing my spark plugs I left the plug a little loose, and it would start like that. Fixed the plug and back to normal. Maybe intermentently loose, or wires within that system.

Any chance you can check with one of you techs and see if they think this is normal?
