Any problems with the 6.2L?
I've been reading about the intercooler issues with the EcoBoost, and I was wondering if there have been any issues with the 6.2L. I am really interested in the EcoBoost, but the intercooler issue has me questioning the decision a little. I love the torque curve and fuel economy. The 6.2L is the only other motor I'm really interested in, so I want to know if there have been any problems with it. I don't recall reading about any.

Subscribed for other opinions. I just bought a 2011 with the 6.2L so I'd like to hear what others have to say.
Flea, you can also try browsing through the Raptor forum for info on the 6.2L. It seems like that forum has more info on the 6.2L than this one.

It takes quite a bit of searching to find 6.2L issues but a few came up in 2011. I think it is an overall good sign. I have read of a rocker arm issue on on SD F250, a couple of fallen off sparkplugs wires, ....Nothing too crazy. I'm sure there are others but nothing really stands out as systematic.

I get 15.5 on the interstate cruising 75
I get 12.5 around town, stop & go, 40 limit
I get 10.5 pulling 6k lbs with 8x8' frontal area enclosed tandem (6th locked out, running 70 mph)
I have 3.73 gears max tow.
These are very consistent numbers for me and I have 6500 total miles with 3400 miles towing.
I never get the super high mpg's that I often see others report. Maybe it's just me or the TX roads/gas. I can live with these numbers and I love how solid the motor sounds & feels.
