any dragstrip data changing from 3.31 to 4.10 gears on 5.0 2wd scab?

Bumping this. I currently have 3.31 gears in my 5.0 Scab and would like info on 3.73 vs 4.10 gears. I don't plan on racing, putting on bigger tires, or hauling/towing much but I would like it to be quicker. I don't really care about MPG.
Is anyone running 4.10s on a 5.0? How does it behave? Is that too low with stock sized tires?

FLAWLESS VICTORY!
I have a little bit of experience when it comes to racing and would venture out to say that you are likely to see a close to .2 increase in e.t. And close to a 2mph increase in trap.
Good luck and report back.

It's kind of a in between gear ratio. If U go big tires and some want them they then find a stronger set of gears is wonderful. For the bucks I would choose stronger to start out with then tires and wheels are no problem to choose from if they fit. If U only look at 1/4 mile times U would be reaching RPM's with stronger gears better.

The EYE Guru
any updates on this?
I'm thinking of putting a 4.10 in my 2011 F150 5.0 fx2 screw.... currently have a 3.31 with 20" rims.....
I plan on towing and eventually adding a blower.

Keep em
If you are getting a blower then keep the gears. You will have more than enough torque. The boosted guys with the 3.31 are seeing some really great trap times and 1/4 mile times as they are holding gear longer and not shifting when crossing the finish line.

I wound up putting 3.73s in my F-150. It was a HUGE improvement over the 3.31s. The truck feels 1,000lbs lighter now. No 1/4 mile times to compare, but I definitely recommend regearing. The 3.73s combined with a custom tune really have woken my truck up. It's pretty damn quick, compared to stock.
I'm running stock 18" wheels and I'm pretty happy with the 3.73s. If you're running 20s, I'd go 4.10s for sure. You will not regret it.

Check out what the tremor guys are doing over at f150ecoboost.net. Seems I recall on the track the 4.10 gears are causing huge traction issues and most are losing time due to spinning off the line. If you plan on track bars and sticky drag radials you might see some improvement.
I believe one guy even went from 4.10s to 3.55s due to the traction issues and to pick up the loss in top end speed.
