Default Is 87 with octane boost safe for a 93 tune?

Hey guys I have a half of a tank of 87 in my truck I have a 93 custom 5 star tune I want to put in. My question is if I put half a tank of 93 and add octane boost will it be ok to run the 93 tune? I have a 2012 Ecoboost 150.

You can balance it with pump 100. Or toluene.

ya I am not man it takes me at least a week to run through a half of tank of gas aw well. Never thought I would be so excited to get to an empty tank of gas.

lol, so true. I just ordered his 93 tune as well. Due to all the testing I did yesterday to make the review, I am just under a half a tank of the 87.

No. Absolutely do NOT do that.

Run your tank dry and fill up with 93.

Common sense says a 93 tune needs 93
I agree it shouldnt be done but i thought these trucks are supposed to "adjust" for octane?

Not if it's tuned specifically for a certain octane. Stock yes...
