5.0 - Coolant Disappearing???
There may be threads here on this and if so please post a link(s)...
I have a 2011 F150 XLT 2 Wheel Drive Crew Cab with about 127,000 miles on the 5.0 Engine in it. The Truck runs good but is loosing coolant and I cannot find a leak anywhere... That said any ideas as to where the leak may be?

Smell the exhaust and tell us what it smells like.
Also, check the oil and make sure it's not contaminated with coolant.

If it's not going out the exhaust, I'd guess that it's going out the weep hole on the water pump. If that's the case, that's the early warning system telling you it's time for a new water pump, which is a relatively easy fix.

I'm going through the same problem with my 2013 5.0 right now (95k miles). I'm going through about a 1/4 gallon of coolant a month and topping off almost every week, so its a VERY slow leak. Oil is fine, exhaust is normal... Its so slow I was unable to find it with a coolant pressure test kit. Have you tried UV dye? I think I am finally able to track mine down. I see a small spot on top of my skid plates near the radiator. I'm hoping its just a loose hose and not a pinhole leak in the radiator itself.
Have you used a block tester? It'll sniff your coolant expansion tank for exhaust gas. At least you can eliminate the possibility of a leaking head gasket. I'm doing that as well this weekend.

If there's no external leak, there is the possibility of a head gasket beginning to fail. This could either burn the coolant in the exhaust which would give a sweet smell or liquid in the exhaust, or into the oil which could increase oil level or give a milky appearance to the oil.
You can also get a UOA (Used Oil Analysis) at your next oil change, those will usually show if there is coolant in the oil. I use Blackstone (https://www.blackstone-labs.com/) but there are several labs out there.

Also have a 2013 and pay attention to all the forums. There is apparently a plastic tee in the cooling system hoses that fails. Maybe not enough to notice in terms of drips, but enough to spew some coolant out. Seems to happen as mileage builds.

Ditto jaygreen. Found drips coming off brace under the oil pan. Thought might’ve been coming from heater core area initially. Removed the skid plate and found the culprit.
