Default A 5.0 is a 5.0????

Yeah, I'm new here... But I did search for an answer and came up snake eyes. I hope you FINE folks can help me.
I have a '13 F150 RCSB with a 5.0. The question at hand is, is the truck engine the same as a mustang engine?
Yeah, I know the electronic management is gonna be different... but is the engine itself the same?
I'm having an ongoing "argument" with a buddy since the day I bought it.
Help me out guys!

Yup, after all that informative reading, I have come to the same conclusion.
Not much of a change though... they're still a hoot to drive!
