Finally........ someone introduces an affordable all stainless exhaust for our trucks that doesnt cost 700, 600, or even 500 bux.

Looks like this will be available for under $450..... (one site i found has it for $369).

You will not find better service than the guys at PDP. Go on any cummins site and ask about garret and his crew. Nothing but positives.

And you're right, $369 is a much better price for a catback than $700.

I ran a 5" diamond eye on my diesel ($390 for aluminized). Sounded good and fit well.

Yup i had a 4" aluminized system on an old 6.5td suburban i had... that system woke that truck up and the quality was fantastic.

$369 is ridiculous for a fully stainless system..... im excited!

Just note that the Diamond kit is 409 SS, not 304 or 316. The 4XX series stainless is generally 12% chrome and little or no nickel. The 3XX series is 18% chrome and 8% nickel. The 4XX series has just enough alloying elements to be considered stainless, is mildly magnetic, and will brown with heat and age. It is also less expensive.

On the flip side, 4XX is not susceptible to chloride stress corrosion cracking. If you live up north or near the coast, then your exhaust system is exposed to at least 2 of the components of chloride SCC - heat and chlorides (salt). 4XX may be a better choice in these conditions.

I have the 30" louvered diamond eye in place as my resonator. It definitely makes a whirrr sound from the tailpipe. I'm sure the muffler they offer with their EB system is 30" either louvered or perforated. And yes it will sound similar to any other straight through system and more than likely will have some interior sound increase with no resonator.
