No shuddering issues or anything yet.

To clarify, I changed it at just shy of 4000 miles on the odometer and the oil life monitor was at 64%. I then changed it at 9000 miles (5000 miles and at 50% remaining).

No changes or modifications to the engine....

I'll fire up the scanner and do what I can about posting the lab report.

Change it. The cost of changing oil is the cheapest thing you can do for it. After all, it is almost 100 smackers to fill it up with gas.

Here's the report - both oil changes on one sheet. The long trip that was noted was when I had to drive from WI to Tulsa for a funeral. It was 1500 round trip in 3 days. So I noted it in case they wanted that info. (By the way, from St Louis to WI driving 80 MPH I got 18.7 MPG).

I didn't idle long before changing...in fact, I had just driven about 20 miles from another town and right onto the ramps and started draining.

This is what the service manager said...

"I checked with Ford Tech. support. They told me there is no known publication of how much fuel should be in the oil.If there are no driveability issues assume the vehicle is operating normally and no repairs are needed."

I have been changing my oil every 3500 to 4000 miles just like all my other trucks.
And if you take care to do it right you wont make a mess when you change the filter.
Make sure you wipe out the drain pan under the filter, befor you put the covers and belly pan back on.
and write down every service incase you need to show documentation for waranty work. some of my other trucks in the passed made more of a mess changing the oil then this one.

Actually, he said he changed it at 9000 miles with 50% life remaining. The oil monitor says 50% but his oil analysis states otherwise, I understand what you're saying though!

Maybe Ford needs to reprogram the oil life moniter for the eco. Some DI engines have the fuel dilution one oil change but then it's gone the next? I've also read that the oil used plays a role as well. In the US DI engines run pig rich at start up and WOT runs. I'm interested to hear what the dealer or Ford has to say about this. Are you stock or any mods like an intake?
+1

I have not, nor will I ever, believe any "intelligent oil life monitor."

OP, thanks for sharing your UOA.
