Default 2013 F150 Compressor Clutch

I recently got my truck back from my mechanic and he told me that I had a bad bearing in my compressor clutch. He didn't have the ability/tools to fix it so I called another guy. Guy #2 was unable to find just the clutch and thought the whole compressor might have to be replaced. Both him and myself looked online for parts and are having trouble finding compressors and clutches in stock.

Does anyone know if just the clutch can be replaced? And does anyone know why every website I look at lists prices for the clutches and compressors but doesn't have any in stock? I thought maybe they were having problems with the compressors/clutches but couldn't find any recall info...

Try tascaparts.com for the best price you'll find with oem parts.
Part number is : CL3Z-19D784-A by the way, if you have 3.7, 5.0 or ecoboost
It also comes with the compressor.

You can get just the clutch assembly from Ford for about $200, it comes complete with the field coil, hub, and pulley. The bearing is in the pulley.

Part Name: A/C Compressor Clutch Pulley

Brand: Motorcraft
Part Number: 19D784(YB-3146)

P.S. I posted relating to the 5.0 engine, you didn't specify so that may not be the exact part you need.

Thanks for the responses! I apologize for not specifying the engine in my original post, but it is the 5.0L - so both of your suggestions were very helpful.

Clutch is very replaceable and this is becoming a common problem. Mine has been making noise for several years now.

btw - if your mechanics don't know how or don't have the tools to replace a compressor clutch, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. The clutch technology hasn't evolved since the 70's.

Actually it has just a little bit, back in the day the field coil was pressed onto the compressor housing, now they are held with a snap ring.

Agree 110% with your analysis of the mech that can't swap it out.

Have you had a local Ford dealer take a look at this, srr5008? I suggest getting an appointment scheduled if you haven't already; use this to get started.

Also, what's the current mileage on your truck? I'll look into this.
