2013 5.0 Screwcab clicking noise at highway speed
I got a 2013 5.0 about 2 weeks ago and since day one it has had a clicking noise coming from around the transfer case area at 40 mph and faster. I took it to 2 different dealerships and one says they drove another 2013 and it has the same noise and it is normal, i believe it has the same noise but not that it is normal. the other dealership went over the truck and couldn't find it. Both service guys went on rides with me and both hear what i'm hearing. I saw back in August that some people have had this issue and i'm wondering if anyone found the problem, if there is one. You cant hear the noise until 40 mph and it gets louder with speed. It has to to do with something spinning and not rpm because if you put it in neutral at 65 mph it still does it. If the radio is on you can't hear it but i know its there and i'm getting frustrated. Truckk only got 1000k on it. I have owned 3 f150's and they all have had some kind of noise issue, you think i would of learned my lesson by now but its hard not to like these trucks. Any help is appreciated.

Take it to the dealer, make them drive it, then make them fix it. That's what your warranty is for.
Don't let them tell you it's normal either. It's not. My truck, and most others, are whisper quiet unless you are on the accelerator.

My 2013 Scab 5.0 is quiet as can be on the highway (knock on wood). No strange noises at all. I'd take it the dealer and have them ride with you on a drive so you can personally point out the noise. That's the only way to 100% make sure they are hearing what you want them too. Especially if the condition is easily repeatable.

Let me take a look at some options. PM me your name, phone number, VIN, and dealer info.

End result?
New transfer case and an apology.
That dealer is now out of business. Neighboring dealers say the primary reason is because they were shunning warranty work, telling customers they couldn't duplicate the problem or that is was normal... until after the warranty expired. Then it suddenly turned into an expensive fix!
