Should still be under warranty, looks like Ford is fixing to pop a couple of new afterburners on that bad boy!

i purchase regular from all over texas. i do get alot from kroger by my house. I have purchased gas there for years on about 4 different vehicles and never had problem. They said only one cat was going to be replaced if it was bad gas wouldn't both cats be bad.

Burnt out cat from bad fuel? I would imagine it's running too rich. And I agree if it was bad gas both cats should be caput.

I would agree...bad gas will not take out a Cat....but being overly rich will. Could also be a bad O2 sensor down stream of the cat.......

I had to have a cat replaced at about 3000 miles. There have been others as well. They can be found by searching on here.

I also had a CAT replaced around 5000 miles. Ford has a problem with this engine. I love my truck and all the power it has, but there are some issues with loss of power and shifting issues. I am hoping it can be straightened out with a reflash. I think these trucks run too rich.
