Burning Smell
I bugged the dealer about this and apparently there is an oil film on the exhaust that burns off at high temps, aka when you get into it or long drives. It goes away relatively quick, but is kind of annoying until it does.

4300 miles and I still have the smell. It now only happens when I floor it for a good bit. It seems to be the turbos... Not the exhaust....

It will eventually go away...just wonder what exactly "burned off".

I hope you're right. The wife is starting to not like riding in it with the kids.

Can you compare this to a burnt wiring smell but it's coming from the exhaust?
Happening to me now.
Thought I noticed it once before but the wife got home with the 110K mile Volvo at the same time and I thought it was coming from hers, certainly not my new truck.
Scary thing is I put a catback on it plus a CAI and it's pretty bad now but it ain't that oily burn off smell you get from new exhaust. This makes you think there are wires catching fire but it is coming right out of the exhaust.
Same thing?
About 1K miles on mine.
