13 EB Stumble in rain

Sorry it happened to you, but I am glad someone else saw the issue, too. My build date is like 10/07/2012....so it's not fixed...maybe just better patched.
My dealership told me to drive it, it may never happen again. I wasn't thrilled about that comment.

My build date is 3/13, it was raining pretty good this morning, I drove for about 30 mins with cruise control to try and load the CAC with condensation.
In a safe place with no one in front of me I stabbed the go button. Trans dropped into second from sixth. Not even a hint of shudder or stutter.
I don't believe I'm immune, but I couldn't get it to happen this morning during the 70 mile round trip.
ETA: this is not a brag, so please don't read it as such.

Matt you can check build date by either your window sticker or inside sticker on your driver door..This will tell you month/year and the window sticker will give you a better idea with in a week of the build..Can you check to see if your truck was built after 9/18/12?

i have the infamous shudder this morning while driving in the rain, i knew the conditions were right and wanted to see if it would happen seeing as the 13s are supposed to be fixed. i was cruising for about 10 mins at 75, punched it and sure enough. check engine light blinked lost almost all its power, i put it in N turned it off and back on and it ran fine, tried it again a couple times and nothing. should i take it to the ford dealer to start a paper trail?
I'd like to look into this and see what I can find out. Can you please PM me your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and dealer info?

FYI, I also had this same issue several times on my 2013 Platinum Ecoboost on the fist 1,000 miles break-in period of the truck (I took delivery and drove 1,000 miles that night to break it in and it was down poring the whole night). I took it to the dealer the next day and they said they could not reproduce the issue (because it wasn't raining the next day....) and said that my 2013 already has the "latest software update to the computer" or something like that. So they didn't do anything to my truck.
FYI, my truck says 4/13 on the door jam sticker....

had this happen to me in my 12 the other day... exact same conditions, rain, 80 degrees or so, had been on the highway for an hour, went to accel and shutter with decel....

This is a little discouraging. I just had the CAC replaced in my 2011 XLT. We haven't had the type of rainy weather needed to try to reproduce. But if there are still 2013s that are doing this....

Kenferg1, I am going to put my 2013 (10/12 build date) to the test this week. 8.5hr drive thru the very humid, rainy, hilly conditions. I am hoping I can go up and back w/o issue but if it does the misfire/stumble/hesitation/shake thing then its off to dealer to fix then trade. I supposedly have the latest greatest Ford parts/BOV/CAC/Cover and whatever....So I will see first hand if she can handle the 17 hr drive..
