XLT Sport cloth vs after market leather
Hopefully this post is not totally redundant to others. I am new to this forum and found some info on this topic.
I am about to purchase a new XLT. The truck will be used to travel to and from my ranch and will spend lots of time on the ranch roads, etc. in a very dusty environment.
Therefore I am considering purchasing aftermarket leather to manage the interior dust better.
It appears that a number of you have done the aftermarket leather also. Was it for the same reason?
For those that kept the sport cloth, how does it do with dust? DIs it tight enough of a weave to keep it out? How does the sport cloth repel stains, spills, etc?
Thanks for your input.

I bought a xlt had every option a lariat had but didn't have the leather seats. So I said the hell with it and got it anyways. I did my research on the leather covers and finally pulled the trigger on a set. Clazzios. Went with black. I got them shipped to the house for $460 I believe. They are amazing. All my buddies that hadn't seen my truck before I put them in swore the were leather seat. Hope this helps a little with your decision

If you decide to go with aftermarket leather we are a dealer for Katzkin.
Best pricing you'll find guaranteed. Pricing as low as $565 shipped for front and rear seat skins. These actually replace doctors cloth skins for an oem fit and finish.
Tons of colors available as well as styles, stitching etc.

Yeah even the basic leather Katzkin offers is a higher quality material. They also offer premium Tuscany leather which is MUCH better. Extremely soft and smooth.
I'm still deciding on what color and stitching to go with for my 16 XLT and then I'll install a set. Too many choices!

I am having Katzkin installed tomorrow on my new 17' XLT. Why pay the price for Lariat when you don't need all the random options. I went with Black Bolster, Suede inserts and grey stitch to match the shifter and console. I'll post pics tomorrow night.
