Default Wiring in a iPod

Is there anyway to wire in a ipod to the stock Ford radio? The 94' series standard radio. I was thinking just like a jack in the speaker lines or something?

Get an FM modulator. It will allow you to plug in a jack so you can listen to any portable music device. I prefer this over the wireless one. Just wire in a switch so you can turn it off, otherwise it MAY interfere with other radio stations.

Here's one, you could probably find a less expensive alternative if you're patient. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_142FMMO...r.html?tp=1701

What are the specs on your radio?? Does it have a cassette player?? If so is it an automatic cassette player??

I think I have an idea but I need more info on it.

You can not just put a speaker jack in line with the speakers. You need power to run the speakers and the iPod will not have enough power to run them. And then you will need some way of switching from your Ipod to the radio and back again.

You can get a set of battery powered speakers and plug your Ipod into them and just turn off the truck's radio.

You can get an aftermarket radio installed with a audio jack in it and just plug your Ipod in it.

My cell Phone is also a MP-3 player and I have an audio jack in my truck. I bought a blue tooth device that lets me use normal headphones. I plug this into my jack and I can listen to my music from my phone trough the truck and when I get a call in I can take it and hear everything trough the truck's speakers.

They sell FM transmitters that you can plug into your cigarette lighter. You can choose which station you want to use, and while it is playing... it charges the ipod too. From my experience they work really well.

Went out to Radio Shack yesterday(The place was nuts) and got a transmitter that plugs into the iPod and runs of the battery. Thanks for the help and Merry Christmas!

if you do decide to make the switch to aftermarket, i have a basically new (less than a month old) Kenwood in dash CD player w/ Ipod hook up cable. i had it in my jeep, but took it out when i traded it for my Lightning. just an option. i like that since everything with the Ipod can be controlled from the radio &/or with the radio's remote.
