I wanted to share my ongoing issues with Whipple. I order a Gen 6 stage 2 kit for my 2019 F150 from Beefcake Racing. They were great to work with and will actually talk to you on the phone. I installed the kit myself and found it to be pretty easy. The instructions were outdated in some spots, but i was able to finish the install in about 7 hours. During the first start the supercharger was making some noise, so I pulled the belt off and turned the charger over by hand. Nothing felt too horrible so I started the truck again. The noise went away pretty quickly. The truck ran good for the first 10 miles, then it started making a very loud banging. I pulled the lid off and could see the rotors were making contact with each other. The next morning i called whipple and was told there was no one i could talk to over the phone and would have to send an email. I ended up shipping the supercharger back to them on June 6. They were not the best at communicating and it took me asking two times for them to give me a time estimate on when they would be finish with my supercharger. I received the "repaired" supercharger June 19th. I started to reinstall the blower again and when I got to the point of bolting it to the heads, I founds the holes were not aligned. They had sent me a 21+ F150 supercharger. Now I am waiting to see how they resolve this issue. I am obliviously pretty upset with how many issues I am having with a 10k supercharger kit. Hopefully they get me the correct blower quickly and that one actually works.
