Lol big tires and fuel economy. ... if you want fuel economy buy a prius, if you want looks buy big tires if you want horsepower boost it.

I'm running the super chip flash pack at 87 octane I'm getting on the highway 18. 6 miles to the gallon when driving at 60 miles per hour in town a little over 15 and a half if its stop and go about 14 and a half have not tried the other ones the tow or the performance as stated before it is night and day from having the programmer installed tonight the response is phenomenal is completely different truck the only other mods which I have added are a magnaflow catback exhaust 3 inch single out and a AFE stage 2 intake (CAI) truck sounds great only real performance added was the programmer the other again makes it sound nice inside no I just took my truck in due to some service issues I uninstalled the programmer when back to factory specs and nothing was said when done with repairs reinstalled program

That's what I figured, I probably should have read over my statement and realized that probably wouldn't happen lol. I'm planning on 35s soon and am worried about fuel milage more than anything. Although I will miss the pep when I hammer on it I will suffice for the look. I'll dig around some more and look for the best "economy" tuner I guess.

I have a 2005 F150 5.4, single owner--me.
I'm looking to wake it up, so I asked on another thread about exhaust and CAI. I was told to go tuner route instead.

CAI and tuners both seem to carry risks on the 2005 5.4L. Apparently the 04-05 5.4s have all sorts of VCT issues as it is (knock on wood, this truck of mine has needed nothing), and more so when modded in even minor says like CAI and tuners, so I am interested to heAr any and all experiences from folks who have or had any of these mods done to their early-year 5.4 trucks.

Thanks!

Default SCT TS+ Livewire Disappointment

So far not so good...

Loaded a custom 5 Star tune Saturday on my 2014 EB & it's a mess now. Power band is erratic & unpredictable. Shifting jerks into gear & MPG's didn't change much. Even getting detonation. My instrument lights are crazy now too, dim sometimes bright the next.

2014 EB 6k miles, only mod are 35's & K&N drop-in

Anyone have any ideas?

I called & emailed Stage3 but still waiting on a reply. Guess they have better things to do.

SCT sent me a new 87 p/t tune file. I returned truck back to stock, then loaded the new file. Much, much better now. Still experiencing a little detonation during hard & floored acceleration, but sent them another email so we'll see.

Is anyone running the Bully Dog tuner for the 5.0? I am not looking for huge gains. I am interesting in the ability to monitor more of the powertrain functions, especially the tranny temp since I tow. I also like some of the other features that the Bully Dog offers and I can buy it locally. SCT doesn't seem to have a Canadian dealer unless I missed something.

Bought a bully dog platinum gt tuner off ebay. 175$. feels like theres a lot more power. i like the built in gauges. doubt there will be any mpg gain but maybe. running it on the premium gas option with shell 93 in it.
