Quick question on the same topic—I will be taking delivery on a 2018 XLT with the lights, puddle lights, etc. I just want to add power fold—would this have the 22 pin and only need a new switch +forscan?

I’ve been interested in doing this. I have a 2018 stx as well. All I’m looking for is heated mirrors and turn signals, moreso heated mirrors. I have no idea how to forscan so I was wondering if this is plug and play or would I need to forscan with the upgrades I’m looking for?

Any updates on this? Would love to have defrost/heated mirrors that are just plug and play. Other day they kept fogging up on me. I really wish I just ordered them from factory when at dealership.

You can put auto fold tow mirror with running lights, puddle lights, and spot lights with this kit. I did it on my 2017 STX

The auction is saying the signals and heat won’t work unless the truck comes factory with these same options. Thanks
I bought some for my truck but there is an ambient temp sensor in the pass mirror, will make your a/c inop, check engine light on, and no outside temp. Threw all kinds of codes, including engine misfire and engine regulatory. Beware. Be warned. Sorry if my post sucks. I dont do forums normally.

good to know. I’m looking at some different ones now and definitely don’t want it throwing codes on my truck. We’re you able to clear the codes?

Default Ambient temperature sensor

I also bought the cheap $250 eBay tow mirrors, once I installed them I learned about the temperature sensor. I couldn’t find a pair of mirrors that came with them, and my a/c was in-op, I also have a check engine light.

I ended up taking out the sensor from from the factory mirror, cut off the connection and connected it straight to the 8 plug connection, seems to be working for now. I still have the check engine light, I haven’t had time to hook up forscan to see what the codes are yet.
