roll up tonneau covers
#11
I have the Lund Elite roll-up, it was cheaper than the other brands and I figured if I didn't like it, I'd just upgrade to a hard roller at some point. But the material and hardware is quality. The only thing I don't like is having to pull down from both sides simultaneously to open it, I'd prefer a 1 handed operation. However, I don't use the bed of my truck much so it suits my needs just fine.

I 2nd the Rollx, have had mine for close to 4 years now. One hand operation from either side, locks for security and virtually water proof. Have had a little water dribble in on the very corner edges during monsoon like rains storm as well as high pressure car washes.
Love the extremely low profile and the fact that when rolled up, it doesn't block the rear view.

Access all the way. Spend the extra money for the lifetime guarantee. Access makes tarps for semis so you know they can take the elements. I live in the mountains of north Georgia. Florida before that. No issues at all with heat or cold both locations.

Retrax Pro MX has held up great here in MICHIGAN. It does take up about 9" of the front of the bed but it's so solid I can stand on it while closed and there is the wow factor when you slide that thing open with one finger

I previously had a Gator that I let go when I traded trucks. The Tonno Pro Lo-Roll cover are a much better quality product for the money. In both cases the side rails clamp on with these "C" clamps but I feel like the Tonno Pro was a better choice.

no complaints with the Truxedo, other than it's probably 10 years old and the velcro sides are starting to get a little weak. Rolls right up to the back window, completely out of the way.

I just put a Gator Roll up on my 17 STX this weekend. I decided to go with a roll up and a rubber mat instead of putting in a bed liner. The one thing that I didn't think of until after installing was that some roll ups have a latch on one side to release and some make you hit a latch on both sides before it is released.

Retrax ProMX on mine. So far so good. Does take up about 10" of the box.
Only part I'm not too impressed with, is the rail mounting clamps. Only 4 clamps hold the rails to the bed, and are kind of flimsy.

I just installed the Bak Revolver X2 and love it. I wanted something that doesn't block the rear window. I thought about the retractable, but it takes away about 9in in the bed. Once the X2 is rolled all the way up, it isn't any higher than the headrests, so its perfect. And it installed without any drilling.
