well it can help. Transmissions get throttle voltage input as one of the shifting parameters.. so maybe the PC can help

I've noticed that mine shifts firmer /quicker when I have it on the sport setting, even with light acceleration.

It doesn’t really change anything as far as the trans goes. If you “mash” the throttle, like in a passing or merge situation, it does downshift quicker because the throttle is responding quicker. Not sure if this is answering the question but I personally have noticed a little less “scary” freeway onramp merges.

We all know that under normal acceleration that there can be lag, especially 3rd and 5th gear. I just wanted to know if this addressed the lag. I know tunes will, since I have had a tuned truck for 16 of the last 17 years.
