Default new gears millage?

i have 3.55 right now with 305/70/r16 and was wondering what my millage would be if i got to 4.56 or 4.30? will it be extremely bad on the high way or only decrease by 1 or 2 mpgs?

What the hell for? That's a huge step, it's not like your rocking massive meats and a lift.

And yes your mileage* will drop like a rock.

Yeah that is a pretty excessive gear change. Are you racing or have a lift?

I have a 4x4 Ecoboost with a 3.73 and I'm averaging 17.5 if that gives you any idea. I love the low end though.... give it a little gas and off it goes. Pretty amazing for a big truck with a V-6.

Calculate the time you actualy use that low end grunt and compair it to the time you are just driving around multiply by the time you spend at the gas pump devided by added wear on powertrain figure in soon to be $4 gal. gas plus the cost of gear swap and rprograming computer unless your building a dedicated trailer queen trail truck is it worth it? 3.55 is a all around middle gear choice and yes your milage will drop like a submarine with screen doors Bubbabud 2011 F150 XLT SC Ecobost with 3.15 gears and all the low end torque you could ever want and 22.3MPG average over 5k miles

thats a twin turbo v6 i have a 4.6l v8 and the lowed sucks... so i figured maybe 4.1 gears would make it much easier to tow my boat seeing i take it out about every weekend if not more.
