Default Mx4 installation

Got a quick question about installing the mx4

Is it hard to do? I really don’t know much about vehicles and don’t want to F it up cause it cost a lot of $. By doing it myself and ordering it through one of the vendors on the forum I am saving $300. Just want to know your experiences.

Thanks

It’s very easy. I’ve installed two over the years and one last weekend on my new truck. There’s a couple different YouTube videos that are helpful as well.

As the other members mentioned above, the installation is very simple. Typically the only tool you will need is a 9/16 wrench / socket. YouTube is very helpful and it can definitely be done in the driveway.

I did the install in about 20 min solo. Love the cover but I have to get the hairdryer out to get one area of the seal down but besides that water is a minimum and I go through car wash almost every other day especailly with the pollen. If it gets worse then I will put the drain tubes in but for right now I think that it is fine
