mass airflow sensor

I have heard of people replacing their mass airflow sensor. I have a flowmaster exhaust and plan on purchasing a K&N high flow air intake. Would a higher performance mass airflow sensor help any?

in theory, it would let more air in, but I would get a bigger throtle body because you cal only get so much air into that big of a hole.
