Default Looking for good exaust

I have a 2004 supercrew 5.4 and would like to install an exaust that sounds good but most importantly increase MPG. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum chanderland. I am going to move this over to the aftermarket section where you will hopefully get more responses. You tube will give tons of sound clips.

Also, at the top of that section is a sticky labeled exhaust with a ton of info for you.

Good hunting.

I have an 04 5.4 as well. I put dual magna flow on mine and it sounds good. I haven't ever heard a ford sound as good as a dodge or chevy I'm terribly sad to say but it still sonds beefy. Not too loud and it has a nice subtle tone at crusing speed. When you get on it though, you can definatly hear it! Hope this helps.

I would have to agree with the magnaflow. Magnaflow from the trucks that I have heard make the best sounding exhaust and the best direct-fit replacements. Expect to take a big hit from your wallet, usually between $550-$750 for a complete dual kit. I have a custom 2.25 in. cat-back system on mine with no mufflers and magnaflow tipes. Sounds very good, but very loud when cold. Just depends on how much you wanna spend and how loud you want it. I have $120 in tips and the custom-bent dual 2.25's at 60 degrees behind tires with the 3.5" magnaflow slash tips, costs about $350 with tips and all exhaust labor/parts. When warmed up, it sounds very good, but when first started, extremely loud, sets car alarms off all the time in the summer! But like I said, depends on how much you wanna spend and how loud/tone you wanna go with.
