A friend of mine just got a quote for Line-X'ing his new Ram EcoDiesel with a short box (5.5ft) for around $650! I told him NO WAY! Granted, he's the only Line-X dealer around, but the Rhino Liner people told him $500. Has anyone bargained down their Line-X job, cuz I know that's WAAAAY too much to be paying! I'm in Upstate NY. Thanks!

Is that for standard black LINE-X, black Premium LINE-X, or black Platinum LINE-X?

Just bought a 2015 SCREW Short Bed yesterday! I requested a quote Friday from Line-X in anticipation of my truck. They said, $500 for standard, for premium(UV) top coat it's an extra $125. So, $625, but they have a $100 rebate until the end of the month bringing it to $525 installed. Platinum was quoted at $850 and color match w/ UV protection was $800. I plan to get the Premium but, I wanted to wait until December so I'm not sure they'll give me $100 rebate . I live in SW VA and they are the only(liner dealer) / closest Line-X dealer around.

That will cost more than standard black and it's going to cost more than Rhino which does not have a UV coating.

Rhino Liner does offer a UV top coat. They offered it to me when I had my Ram done in '99.

Not to derail the thread, could anyone tell me if you suggest getting the rear wheel wells done? My line X dealer offer them for 100 if I do it the same time I do the bed or 175 later. Also, it's suggested not to wash the truck within the first 24 hours, would rain the day I get the line X effect it? Thanks.

That was Rhino Shine which comes in a bottle and has to be reapplied about once a year. Today's typical Rhino bedliners are Tuff Grip, Hardline, and Tuff Stuff and none of them are UV stable.

LINE-X Premium does not require any reapplication of stuff in a bottle.

This is Rhino Tuff Stuff with Rhino Shine.

Stupid question.... ordered a truck (not here yet) and got the "spray in bedliner". Im now reading that they do it at the dealership.... what brand do they use or is it location dependent???

Thanks!

I've read that too, but I don't think they do it at the dealer when you order it from the factory... I think that's only if you add it to the purchase of one on the lot!
