CB raido

I was looking to get a CB Radio for my truck that i could put in the opening under the cigarette lighter in my dash... Any suggestions?

i got one in my truck the cb is mounted on interior of the roof with a 10 foot whip
but i wouldnt mount one under the dash, my friend did that and u cant really hear it at all

I have mine mounted under my heater control in the middle of my 2001 f150, but be sure to mount it far enough over so that you can still open your cup holder. And i prefer the Cobra models.

do you have to get a whip or can you buy a low profile antenna ?

I put whips on my truck and they worked fine, but if u wanted to u could get a smaller antenna and get an amplifier for it.

idk those little antennas get just as good signals as my 10 foot steal whip mounted on my bumper

just an FYI, i popped open that little slot you're talking about on my 05 over the weekend....it's not very deep at all. My cb wouldn't even fit 1/2 way in there so I mounted it up higher under my radio.
