Default Cat back system or just a new muffler?

Wow, lots of thoughts on this one I see. My question, does a new cat back system like the Corsa sport not have better exhaust tubing, 304,409 than the factory exhaust tubing? Just asking as I don’t know. If the tubings are the same, 409, then just a new muffler would be more cost effective right. Magma Flow, flow master sells just the muffler, most others you have to buy the whole system. The cat back system will not help with sound right? All I’m looking for is better sound. I know the 2018 coyote can sound better than it does now stock. Not looking to do a resonater delete. Thoughts??

I haven't put an exhaust on my 2020 yet (might not at all on this one), but I did on my 2016 5.0. I just ran an SLP LM2 on that (with the resonator still on), and I absolutely loved it. Nice mellow sound when cruising, loud when I got on it, and ZERO drone. I drove it out of state a lot for work, and never once regretted putting in on.

Catback if you don't mind spending the extra money, it'll look nicer from under the truck as well... Depending on what you buy, some come with better tubing than oem, such as stainless and won't rust, some are the same and just painted, etc..

Muffler swap if you wanna save money and just looking for some sound and don't care about having to cut and weld on a new muffler, you wont see the underside of the truck anyways. So can't really go wrong either way.

i also prefer a catback, but that comes at a price.
corsa extreme is a great example, has a very aggressive, raspy sound too it, sounds mean and looks great. but itś also over $1000. a muffler alone is usually $100-$200 give or take
