What are the deets on the rims and tires? I would start with bds and see if the rim/tire you’re running should fit. In the bds installation directions, they specify what tire/rim combo “should” fit. If your setup falls within spec, I’d ask bds for advice. IMO, it looks like your front have been pushed forward, but I don’t know why it appears that way. Do you have a profile shot of the front before the dealer installed the correct parts bds sent?

If push comes to shove, you could always add the 6” strut spacer to the front and change the rear blocks to balance it all out. That would turn your lift from a 4” to a 6” which would hopefully clear the tires then. I think that would be the cheapest fix Vs. Changing rims/tires.

The only difference between the 4” kit and the 6” kit from bds are the sizes of the strut spacers and rear blocks. All other parts are the same.

Sorry not the best pictures. This is all I can find on my camera roll of when the 2016 lift was installed and before the dealer tried to install the 2017 lift.

And you should be congratulated on those chassis pics! REALLY good work - 'way to get in there! For those individuals who know what to look for...close, clear, different-angle pics like that are very useful.

Please keep us updated. And I second (third?) the motion to try to get/keep BDS in the loop as much as possible. I'd really love to know what was in those boxes - and what was therefore added to your truck during its recent "update" to the original kit. Did the boxes come to you? Big? Small? Heavy? Both the same or each completely different? Do you know if the dealer performed an alignment after the recent visit? I'm guessing not since the tires are jammed against the crash bars!

Keep all of your receipts!

Default Lift swap

I have found that between the 16 and 17 swap there is a little bit more of the drivers side rear lower control arm frame piece that needs to be cut off. It’s hard for me to see under the truck very well but I have found they didn’t trim this down and they have welded a piece on the keep the original bolt that goes though. Do you think this would push the wheels forward so much?

Thanks for the replies! I have an email into BDS, I couldn’t get through by phone on a Friday.
The boxes were sent straight to the dealer. When I go under I can kind of see which parts are new and which are existing.
The dealer did perform an alignment “to the max they are allowed to go” to try and keep the tires from rubbing after we picked it up the first time.
I have asked for a copy of the alignment report however it wasn’t available but said they would email to me tomorrow.

Forgot to add that both kits are strictly bolt on kits and that nothing should have had to be welded. It took them 4 full days to swap over the lifts.
I am at wits end because I feel like the dealer doesn’t have a clue about lifts and is just making it worse not better. At least with the bad driveshaft we could still get back and forth to work everyday lol.
They also cut out pieces of our front valance and bumper. Looks horrid now, and wasn’t an issue before with the original lift. I wish they would have asked before cutting.

Ask for your alignment specs if they did one at all. It appears to me that your lower control arm cams are turned to max outward on the rears and max inward on the fronts . which will move front extremely forward.HTH

I’ve got a 6” bds on a 2017 4x4 I have 285/75r18 (35x11.5) on 18x9 rims at +12 offset. I have absolutely NO running of any kind in any direction. He’s a pic of my front tire for reference. Mine looks perfectly centered. I think something is definitely wrong on yours.
