Default Anyone buy a Ford branded Tonneau?

I have found a Ford branded Hard Folding Tonneau cover off a 2015 5.5’ for sale locally, and am considering purchasing it for my 2019 as it’s in like new condition. Just curious if anyone has used one and what the quality is like compared to the bakflips I was planning on getting?

More than likely the Ford branded cover you're looking at is essentially a BAKFlip cover. Ford was private labeling covers from BAK for quite some time. If the pricing is fair and the cover operates how you would like, I would feel confident in getting purchasing.

Yeah what Truck Brigade said... I've seen a new-in-box Ford branded cover and it looked identical to the BAK Flip on mine. I don't even know if it said FORD on it but everything else was identical (never took it out of the box just saw a few of the panels).

From what I hear Fords covers are a lot more $$ then BAK Flip.

I ordered my truck with the "ford" tonneau cover and it's basically this exact one -->> https://www.americantrucks.com/extan...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

I personally like it alot. The "ford" branding is just a gel sticker lol mine peeled off pretty quick.

Ford’s covers are indeed made by the same outfit as the BakFlip models. And yea, they run a couple hundred more.
Biggest advantage is if you buy it new with the truck, they carry the same warranty as the truck, and can be rolled into the price to finance as well.
Used —- only difference is the sticker.

It's made by REV and is the same as the BAK Flip. It's nice, leaks a little in the corners because the tracks dump water at the tailgate. I like the Ford branding, negotiated it in the deal when I bought the truck.

I know you're going to freak about the leaking bit but it's not that bad, probably worse because I have a spray-in bedliner(filling the gap between the bed side and bed floor). If you keep things between the wheel wells (pretend they're full length of the bed), nothing will get wet. It's only in the very corners.

Have a Ford tonneau on my ‘12 and zero issues so far. I would recommend clean/conditioning periodically just like you would your leather seats..

Have the Ford tonneau as well. Dealer discounted it and installed it when I bought the truck used at 9k miles. Had a BAK flip on a prior Ram and replaced it twice under warranty because the panels all warped. This one may be made by BAK, but it is different from the one I had on the Ram only two years ago. The panels feel different and show no signs of warping. It does leak a wee bit at the corners but that seems to be very minor.

When I bought my 2018 , I got a vinal covered aluminum roll up with the Ford logo for a lot less than the same aftermarket.
