Just to provide some information on this as it seems there is no clear answer. I’m doing an RC 6” lift with 17x9 -12 fuel wheels on my f150. I was told by my installer that RC doesn’t recommend installations for wheels under 18. HOWEVER, this is in reference to factory wheels with positive offsets. If you are running a negative offset 17” wheel you should be fine, but double check with your installer.

Old post but do you have any pictures of your tierod ends how close they're are to the wheels?

I'm in same boat I've got a 12th gen truck ordered a 6" lift but I run 17" steel wheels. I think I'm going to be safe after taking some measurements. I'll know more when I have the new knuckles in my hand
