2inch Leveling Kit on 96 F150
I recently purchased a 2 inch leveling kit and some people are saying that i need to buy upgraded shocks while others say that i don't. Which is it? Also my friend bought a 2.5 inch leveling kit for his 03 ranger and he said that he has to replace his ball joints every 3 months, will i have the same problem?
did you get spacers or new coils? I am in the process of putting a pro comp 2 inch front end lift (level kit) on my 95 f150. if the truck is lifted you are going to need new shocks. mine from pro comp were $35 a piece
important advice! if you put new coils on yourself with strut compressors, use four compressor clamps. when i used just two, the bolts were bending under pressure and it seemed VERY DANGEROUS. with two sets of compressors the job was very simple and safer.

if you extending that distance in any way, you will need longer shocks. if you have a dual shock model, like me, remember those two shocks are DIFFERENT sizes so you will need to order different ones
in my experience lift kit companies don't mind screwing you over and I have heard nitro shocks ride the smoothest. I got pro comp es3000's $34 a piece. I can tell you how they ride by the weekend.
MAKE SURE YOU RESEARCH THIS TOPIC BEFORE ORDERING ANYTHING
