Since the Raptor Engine is in the Navigator I thought I'd ask
I have an f-150 and this site has been great. My wife just got a 2018 Navigator which I understand has the same engine as the Raptor.
We just took it on a road trip and here is what I found. So I'm cruising at highway speeds (maybe 75-80) need to gun it to pass someone one. When I gun it there is a harsh downshift that jolts the entire care. It did it multiple times. Brought it to the dealer and they said this is normal as other navigators do it. My F-150 with the ten speed ecoboost definitely does not do this. Tried it multiple times. I do not have a raptor so I could not try it. Is this the behavior you guys see in the raptor?
Thanks again for any help!

Do not have that issue with my 2018 Raptor. On the Raptor site many have report similar harsh shifting both up and down shifting. If I remember correct there is a TSB out for the problem in the Raptor. Probably hasn't hit the Navi's yet.

My 2017 Raptor hasn't done that either. It currently has 23k miles on it.

My 18 raptor is a little hard on shifts in sport mode..
The thing that grinds my gears is how herky jerky it shifts in normal mode, drives me nuts as my 16 fx4 5.0 6sp was smooth as silk.
They say it's the transmissions adaptive learning process..
