Got her all shined up. Cleaned the windows inside and out, then put RainX on all the windows and moonroof. Plus detailed the interior. Now waiting for my additional graphics to show up from Rappy's Graphics. Hope to put those on yet this week. Although the weather is supposed to turn crappy, so that might put a damper on things....
Added a few more graphics today. More on the way from Rappys Graphics. Should get those on next week. Have another surprise getting installed on Monday. Also added a towing receiver to the hitch, plus upgraded my license plate light that highlights the flying eagle! Last pic doesn't really do the windshield graphic any justice do to the windshield reflection. But it really does look good. Subtle and goes with the lightening blue.
I just heated it up a little with a hair dryer and slowly pealed them off. Then I put a little Goo Gone on a microfiber towel and rubbed the remaining adhesive off. All said and done a < 10 minute job. Looks a ton better. They come off easy when they are new. Older cars, they do not want to come off. Likewise, this is one of the first mods I do.
Did it really work that well on the Ford. I tried doing that on my Scat Pack and boy did it not go well. IF you say it works I will try it on this one.
I think the key is to do it on a new vehicle. I went to try it on the wife's Explorer and they didn't want to come off. It's fast and easy on a new vehicle! I've done this on my last 4 new trucks. Worked every time!
Super excited about the stereo upgrade today! In my 2011 Raptor, I had a sub box with 2 10" Memphis subs. When I sold it, I took the subs out, but left the amp. Well today I had a 500 watt Orion amp installed and hooked up to this sub box I kept. Major improvement! I think I lost a little hearing today....
I can easily remove the sub, just unplug the speaker wires and slip it out.
I also received a bunch of graphics from Rappy's Graphics that I plan on installing tomorrow. Added one today that I got off the net. More pics tomorrow when I'm finished with the install.
