Raptor: towing
We don't have a "V5" hitch - this is only a testing standard set by an association. Most of us with an F150 have class 3 hitches. And I'm not sure how GVWR plays into the hitch. GVWR has nothing to do with towing a trailer.
I'm curious - do you know what your truck is capable of pulling? And why do you think it's reasonable to upgrade to a class 5 hitch? Can you even upgrade your truck to a class 5 hitch?

The Curt #15303 is a perfect fit for the 1997-03 F150. It's called an "Xtra-Duty". A bit more stronger than a regular class 5 hitch.
