Default Raptor ride quality

i'm considering a 2011 raptor and 2011 Lariat Limited and neither one is close by. I'd rather not drive 200 miles to test drive it and not at least get an idea first. Anyway, i've heard good things about the ride on the limited but i've heard the off road shox cause a rough ride on the raptor. Anyone here upgrade from an 2009-2011 f150 to a raptor and give me some insight? Or even if you just have the raptor and have some thoughts. Thanks in advance. i appreciate it.

I traded in a 2010 Lariat on the Raptor. The Raptor seats are way more comfortable, the ride is fantastic, and it no longer feels like I'm driving an old man truck. The 6.2 made a huge difference in the fun factor

I traded my 08 Harley Davison for my 11 Limited. I looked at both and decided on the Limited. I don't do a lot of off road so I think I made a good choice. I love the 6.2 and am ready to upgrade.

My dad always complains about how he is always hitting the speed limiter because the ride is so smooth he doesn't realize he is going that fast...

Raptor has the best ride quality of any F-150 due to its long travel suspension. rides like a dream both on and off road. I have had the FX4 and my brother has a Platinum. My Raptor rides way better. He wants to trade his Platinum in.

I traded a 2009 Platinum for a 2011 SCrew Raptor. The Platinum was very comfortable and very boring to drive. My Raptor is a blast to drive but wouldn't be as comfortable on a long road trip; it's set up as a big boy toy.

raptor for sure going over speedbumps is super different in a raptor and you have more capability if you want it to go offroad. and the seats are fantastic in the raptor.

It is hovercraft smooth.......

The ride and seat comfort in the Raptor are vastly superior to the Lariat....

This thread is interesting to me and I have not yet had the opportunity to drive the Raptor. This model is still on the 'radar' for me as I prepare to make a new purchase later in the new year, when I trade in my '09 XLT.

In this regard, the comment about the lack of comfort on a 'longer road trip' appears to be at odds with many of the other positive comments about the Raptor ride vs. say a Lariat or Plat. Can you expand on this view and/or can others chime in on how this truck is on longer highway trips?

While I have no doubt as to the contrast of the Raptor in off road performance; I would like to have the balance of a comfortable drive on long trips down to L.A., which I make several times year.

Thanks.

I've been on several long road trips and you can beat this truck for comfort.
