Raptor "Contents" Unboxing
I just took delivery of my Raptor on February 3rd, and I love it. However, the day I picked up my Raptor was a busy day at the dealership, and my salesman and I did not get to spend much time going over stuff. It's a 2 hour drive back to the dealership for me, so I figure I'd ask the community before going there in person. This is my first Ford vehicle (I'm coming from a Kia Forte), and because of my extreme enthusiasm & naïveté with Ford trucks, I realize I may have misplaced items or over-looked things that need addressing.
Here's how I spec'd the Raptor:
- 802A Luxury Package
- Raptor Technology Package
- Twin Panel Moonroof
- Heated Steering Wheel
- Heated Second Row Seats
With that said, I had a few questions from other Raptor owners:
1) Did you receive just 1 silver/black external door key?
- I received 2 Intelligent Access Key Fobs. Inside each fob is 1 bronze key. However, one of the fob's also has a silver/black key on the keyring, while the second fob does not. I do not know if I misplaced the second key, or if the truck only came with just 1 key.
- In total, I have:
-- 2 fobs
-- 2 bronze keys (inside fobs)
-- 1 silver/black key
-- 2 little plastic placards that show how to remote start/stop the vehicle
2) Did you receive a security tag for your keys?
- The manual mentions on page 54 a "security tag". I have a small 1" x 2" white paper with a barcode on it and 5 digits printed. It does not say "Save for customer records" like the manual shows. I'm not sure if this is the security tag and simply looks different, or if it's something else entirely and I have misplaced my security tag.
3) Does your Leather "Ford Performance" Owner's Manual Cover have 5 digits written on the binding?
- Mine has 5 digits written in big letters down the spine of the owner's manual leather cover. I'd like to know whether it has any meaning, or if it's just some random numbers.
4) Does your steering wheel have a zig-zag pattern "bubbling" underneath the surface?
- My steering wheel looks like it has a zig-zag pattern running underneath the surface, my guess is it's the heating elements. They're barely visible.
Thank you for your help in advance.

2 fobs and one key is correct.
I believe the barcode is the security tag
No digits on my manual
Steering wheel seems smooth and I have heat. But not sure I'm quite as OCD as you are based on this post. Lol.
Post up the pics!

Sweet, thanks fellas!
Good to know I did not misplace any keys already!
Definitely got the OCD thing going, I'm the kid that spent hours reading every word out of the NES instruction manual while my brother was busy playing the game. Once I got the manual out of the way, then I gamed.

Just finished a Zelda quest the other day myself!

The boxlink has another set of silver keys. The silver/black key is for the driver's door, center console, and glovebox. It's identical to the bronze keys inside the fobs, just more convenient as it's on the ring.
