Wonder what they are waiting for with power numbers? There is no competition for the raptor so who cares. I get it with the superduty with the dmax coming soon.

scrappy doo I have seen an advertisement/pamphlet online. It looks like its from ford, and has horsepower at 450. Type in 2017 ford raptor on google, go to images, and scroll through. It will appear a little way down on the page.

Yup. I'm hoping for more. 39hp increase and a 300 pound diet will help. My 14 was kind of a pooch.

The high output ecoboost in the Raptor will have way more potential for more power than the 6.2. The downside is it will never have the rumble of the V8. The owner of the company I work for has a 2014 Raptor with the Roush SC and Borla exhaust. He loves the sound. The Ecoboost will never give him that. He said he will test drive a 2017 but I think it won't be enough.

This isn't an accurate statement. Power 'potential' always goes to the larger engine - all things being equal - meaning you aren't placing restrictions on either engine. Move more air/fuel, make more power.

3.5l @ 14.2 psi = ~450/500
6.2l @ 9.2 psi = ~670/650

Anything that can be done to the Eco can be done to the 6.2 and make far more power.

Let me rephrase. For a lot less money invested in aftermarket performance parts a 3.5 will put out way more power than a 6.2. The Roush kit for the 6.2 would be thousands more than what it would take to get the 3.5 to the same level.
