Default Ignition key cylinder issues

Hello,
I have a Gen 1 2012 Raptor. When I insert the key into the ignition without turning it on, my fuel pump primes and the some of the dash lights go on. I also can hear a electrical buzzing. Cycling the key on then off stops or turns off the electrical noises. Is this a normal condition. If so, then just inserting the key and leaving it would drain the battery, unless it's on a timer.
Does this seem normal?

Thx

If you are saying just putting the key in the cylinder without turning it does all that, then no it is not normal. You have a bad cylinder
