Wow, that just adds to the beatdown then. Wonder how much more it would have been beaten if the Gen I was stock.

too bad he didnt have that gen 1 with the supercharger, i think with the supercharger it would have did just what the the gen2 did. honestly though both a great trucks. personally i like the v8 better. going down the road with an angry bumblebee is fun sure, but it doesnt feel the same.

Of course a Gen1 with $7k in mods should beat a stock Gen2. But with about $1k in mods it got waxed by a stock Gen2.

Well I figured if the next generation is turbocharged, its not really fair to compare a naturally aspirated to forced induction. I naturally figured supercharger would even the odds a bit. Then again similar trucks but also very different. The newer gen has more bells and whistles, better fuel efficiency, also lighter, more suspension travel. It's a nice truck really. You would want it to spank the previous generation right otherwise you wouldn't buy it. For the most part I have owned 6 cylinder trucks. Not because I wanted fuel efficiency, it's just what the truck had. I never liked the exhaust note.

Then by that logic you should also increase the displacement of the 2nd gen truck from 3.5L to 6.2L, to make the race "even" again......

I think most peoplw want to see which truck is faster stock vs stock, not to compare which truck would win with identical powertrains.....
