Again, wrong.

My source.... myself as a Texas licensed used car dealer. Lol. Below are what you are seeing are sold at auction.

typical wannabe. Everybody who acquires a “ used car dealer license” is just that a wannabe car dealer.

ok so the auction prices you posted are sold auction prices ? If so those numbers fall right in line with what I have been saying. Even though those numbers are $ 56,000.00 to $ 61,000.00, those prices are not without markups for the person selling the raptor. What I am saying is the person who originally owned the raptor did not get these prices via trade with a car dealer. And I mean a legitimate car dealer, not a used wannabe car dealer.

i was just like you before I actually started my business. Immediately assumed there was a crapload of markup in used cars, raptors or not. There is very very little money in used car sales, which is why big dealers push insane volume.

also, getting your dealers license is far from easy, so there is a difference between flipping crap boxes on Craigslist and running a legitimate business. Try again. Until you’ve done it, your arguement holds almost no water.

typical reply from a used car dealer. There is no money in used cars ? LOL. Not buying it. I have two good friends who are in the car business, actually legitimate car dealers, used car profits are not that bad.

i respectfully disagree.

by definition I am a legitimate car dealer... not sure what the hell youre talking about.I make a good living doing it as a hobby as it isn’t my main source of income... but I’m sure your friends are right. Actual experience in the industry and not relying on heresay is a pretty large discrediting factor isn’t it? Lol. I don’t run some buy here pay here lot...

However, you’re salty about your raptors “depreciation”. I get it, with an 84 month loan it’s pretty easy to be upside down.

i hate to break the news to you Johnny “ used car salesmen “ but I have the title to the raptor in my gun safe. Paid cash. Free and clear. I don’t let “ used” car salesmen beat me. Unfortunately used car salesmen are like congressmen and senators, maggots in the swamp.

luckily I do it as a hobby and don’t swim through the swap to make a living. I am not a “used car salesman” lol. I get it, you’re salty, but blaming the facts with the auction data to prove it on me being a scummy car salesman isn’t going to make you less in the hole, just makes you look bad.

I won’t prove my merit to you, because I don’t care. I am not trying to beat anyone, rather educate you on how there isn’t 10% margin on these things, the market is far too competitive. I was extremely ignorant in the car buying/selling market until I started doing it legitimately and understanding why dealers weren’t budging much on the sale prices of used cars...

7 % is a absolute minimum in the states.

they are easily 10 % plus.

Go trade a vehicle in with a car dealer and then see what he puts it on his lot for in relation to what he allowed you for the trade.
