Gas and the Raptor
My '18 Platinum called for regular 87 octane gas. I thought the high output of the 3.5 in the Raptor needed premium to extract its true performance. There is nothing stating minimum octane on the fuel door as a lot of cars have, and looking in the manual, unless I missed it which is entirely possible, it says the F150 is designed to run on 87 octane.
Without arguing the point of a car that calls for 87 octane performing better with 91 or 93, taking it for granted that is not the case, just for argument sake we will say if it calls for 87, then 91 or 93 will not make a difference, what does the Raptor call for?
Can anyone point me to a page in the manual or elsewhere where the Raptor Gen 2 calls for other than regular gas?

It's ok to run 87 octane, but the advertised #s of 450hp and 510 lb ft are achieved with premium fuel. I have 29k miles on mine and I've run nothing but 93 octane in it.
Below is what it says in the owners manual.
Below is what it says in the owners manual.
Your vehicle is designed to operate on regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum pump (R+M)/2 octane rating of 87. Some fuel stations, particularly those in high altitude areas, offer fuels posted as regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating below 87. We do not recommend these fuels. For best overall vehicle and engine performance, premium fuel with an octane rating of 91 or higher is recommended. The performance gained by using premium fuel is most noticeable in hot weather as well as other conditions, for example when towing a trailer.

so what reading... the regular 3.5 with 375 hp is achieved on regular 87 octane. to achieve the H.O.'s 450 you need 91 or 93..
what is the horsepower drop on regular 87 for the H.O. . And if 91 or 93 is used in the 375hp version does it increase hp much
