Thanks!

The raptor I am planning on getting is SCAB too. I originally wanted a SCREW, but after test driving the SCAB, I was convinced its the right choice. That short frame will be nice to drive around. Downside I did notice was the sub 1000lb payload, whereas the SCREW has around 1200 payload. Also I currently have a SCAB and the backseat is big enough (bigger than most cars)

Sorry, you didn't. I don't think though the OP is asking for our opinions if he can afford it or not. I believe he can and was justifying due to the resale value because at the end of the day, it matters what it cost you if you trade in often. His chart shows that the raptor has an overall lowest cost. The raptor that I want according to Ford's build website shows it will be $58k and even considering the Shelby version but figure the MPG on that would be less than 10. Seems dealers in my area don't sell raptors at MSRP but ask over it.

I sent you a pm. I found a site that shows what dealers will give you invoice. Let me know if you don't see it.

I got it, thanks! The spreadsheet seems simple enough, I can recreate it easily.

My response addressed many of the other posts, as well as the OP. I would think real world costs of Raptor ownership would be relevant and be more valid than any post from a non-owner.

No argument wanted. I was really looking for to make sure I didn't miss any large hidden costs with the raptor. Like the tires only lasting 5000 miles or something like that.

My fuel mileage is based on what I have read other people getting in areas where I travel, and based how I drive. I also did a test drive loop and took that into consideration also.

What I did for example, was use what a 2011 raptor, equipped the same as I am looking at, with 60k miles would trade in for in my area according to true car and kbb, also looked at what they where selling for locally.

I am surprised no one commented on the dodge 1500 diesel being in there.
I find that dealers don't give you what truecar or kkb show, they go even less and you can't compare to what they sell. What they go for in a dealer auction like Manheim is closer to what they give. And yes, I did notice the Dodge. What is the Raptor MT?

Raptor MT is the raptor with the luxury package/myford touch

I was in debate of paying the 4k up charge and ran numbers both ways. I think I am going to skip the luxury package.

I am also amazed how little options on vehicles hold their value. It was a good exercise to see what it really costs to own a vehicle.

I agree with you on the kbb and true car, that is why I tried to pull from multiple sources. I looked at what vehicles sold for and compared to truecar/kbb and estimated from there.

My stock tires lasted almost 30k, they would have lasted much longer but I raised the truck to mid perch and the dealer didn't align it properly.

You spend $700 a month in gas? I figured at 12mpg that you are driving about 2500 miles a month? What kind of real world mpg are you getting? For me, it would be my DD but I typically only do 10-12k per year. Usually when I trade in, my trucks have less than 36k after 3 years.
