Default 2012 Raptor AWD?

I’m somewhat of a novice when it comes to automobiles with 4wd. I’m aware you can’t typically drive in 4hi on hard surfaces however I want to ask if the 2012 raptor has any sort of AWD or something like that? Something you can drive in the road.

I previously owned a 2013 lariat that did have AWD but I was under the impression that it didn’t exist on the f150s before 2013. Does the raptor have anything to prevent slippage? I am looking to buy a 2012 raptor but as my dad received the insurance check for my last vehicle he’s the one determining which one to buy and he says the 2012 raptor isn’t safe.

Saying that is is unsafe because it dosent have AWD is absolutely ridiculous. the raptor is designed for off road requiring 4wd. Id argue that 4wd is safer in my opinion as it gives the driver control rather than a computer deciding what to do.
